Keynote 1: Prof. Willy Susilo (University of Wollongong)
Title: Cloud Computing Security: Challenging Issues and Future Directions
    Date : -

Abstract:

Cloud computing has emerged as a foundational paradigm within the information technology landscape, offering substantial reductions in the cost and complexity of managing hardware and software resources. This paradigm shift has empowered organizations to leverage cloud storage for efficient data sharing and to utilize cloud-based computational services for outsourcing intensive computing tasks.
A critical challenge accompanying the widespread adoption of cloud technologies is the assurance of robust security protections. In this keynote, I will present a concise overview of the evolution and current state of cloud computing security. The talk will highlight recent advancements in the field, examine key technical developments, and outline emerging research directions and trends that are poised to shape the future of secure cloud computing.

Keynote 2: Dr. Wolfgang Richter (Director of Engineering, Soroco Co.Ltd)

Title: Security in the Age of AI”
Date : -

Abstract:

The AI revolution has impacted every part of society.  Security is no exception.  There are new vectors for attacks: from MCP integrations, to exfiltration of secrets via new chat interfaces.  But AI is here to stay.  It is getting embedded into every fabric of technology and life.  For example, now most documentation has chatbot technology embedded.  How do we defend our systems when every website is wired to a chatbot backend?  What changes when the top hackers are AIs and are a direct, formidable adversary?  We explore the implications of AI on security, the new challenges it brings, and how we can adapt our security practices to this evolving landscape.

Biography:

Dr. Wolfgang Richter has over a decade of experience as Director of Engineering at Soroco building AI-driven products and leading technical and operational teams. He directs product development programs focused on optimized AI models, ML infrastructure, information security automation, and large-scale data processing. His current work enables state-of-the-art models to run efficiently, and securely, on tens of thousands of enterprise devices—such as laptops—without specialized hardware, powering millions of inferences per day. Before transitioning to industry, Dr. Richter conducted research in distributed systems, cloud computing, and edge AI at Carnegie Mellon University.
